Lucia B Marti
Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Lucia discovered her passion for jewelry at an early age, inspired by her mother—a former hand model and jewelry enthusiast. She pursued her calling at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), where she began transforming her childhood inspirations into tangible designs. During her freshman year, Lucia collaborated with fashion design student Carmela Osorio Lugo for the SCAD Fashion Show, and their work gained recognition in Teen Vogue, Elle, WWD, and other publications. The duo later showcased their designs at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Panama, further igniting Lucia’s love for creative collaboration. For her senior thesis, she created the “Genome Collection,” a fusion of genetic science and cutting-edge CAD and 3D printing techniques, enhanced with Tahitian pearls. This innovative collection earned her a finalist position at the 2019 International Mittel Moda Fashion Awards in Milan, where she won the Accessory Award and was featured in Vogue Italy.
