Fine jewelry studio + school specializing in custom engagement + wedding rings, unique stones & alternative diamonds, local designers, & workshops in Brooklyn, NYC
Our Story
Fitzgerald Jewelry was initially started by the jewelry design and fabrication team, Michael and Hiroyo Fitzgerald, as a small studio and workshop in 2001. Over the next few years, they created a reputation for designing and making unique and beautiful wedding and engagement rings and being endorsed by New York magazine as the best wedding and engagement ring jewelry for any budget.
In 2009, Michael and Hiroyo opened their first ground floor space in Williamsburg Brooklyn, converting an old button factory into a workshop and gallery combined. The gallery quickly established itself and grew to the point of moving to a larger space on a more commercial street in 2015.
Fitzgerald Jewelry Store + School is now located just off the Bedford L Stop on Grand Street Between Driggs + Roebling. The gallery space is filled with one of a kind jewelry made by both as well as other local jewelry designers.
The back of the shop is home to Fitzgerald Jewelry school, offering classes and bench time year round.

Wedding Band Workshop
My fiancée and I took a class at Fitzgerald Jewelry to create our own wedding bands in silver.
We were perfectly and carefully instructed by a very experienced professional to produce something VERY worthy of the occasion.
We heated the silver, poured it into a long band, cut it in two, stretched it, flattened it, bent it into a circle, soldered the ends together, created the appropriate design with hammers and tools, polished it, and then took them home on the same day. It was fantastic.
It was an awesome experience. Our expectations were blown away. We'll be going back for sure.

Custom Jewelry
Had a complicated custom jewelry order placed here. From the design and planning to the execution I couldn't have asked for anyone better to help me. Michael personally met with me and took care of the order and was very helpful in designing it too meet my expectations. Overall, it came out a beautiful piece and I knew that a lot of effort had gone into it. Grateful I could find this place.
