About Our Team
Fitzgerald Jewelry is a fine jewelry studio specializing in custom engagement and wedding rings, unique stones and alternative diamonds, stone and metal recycling, while housing local designers & offering private workshops.

Fitzgerald Jewelry was founded in 2001 by Michael and Hiroyo Fitzgerald as a small studio and workshop. Known for their unique wedding and engagement rings, they were soon recognized by New York Magazine for offering top-quality pieces at any budget. In 2009, they opened a combined workshop and gallery in a former button factory in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, later relocating to a larger space on Grand Street in 2015. Today, the gallery features one-of-a-kind jewelry by the founders and local designers, while the back of the shop houses the Fitzgerald Jewelry School, offering private workshops and year-round bench time.
Our multi-functional space serves as both a showroom for our in-house fine jewelers and a platform for emerging Brooklyn-based designers. Visitors can view a range of current pieces while finding inspiration for custom designs, including the option to repurpose cherished heirlooms—recycling gold or resetting stones in modern, wearable ways. Behind the showroom, we offer private jewelry workshops for all skill levels, taught by some of New York’s most experienced jewelers. Students are encouraged to customize their learning experience based on their goals, and experienced jewelers are welcome to use our fully equipped studio for their own projects.
