In this class students will create a cabochon bezel setting for a ring using the wax carving technique. In the second class students will learn how to set their stones in the ring they created the first class, as well as how to finish their metal piece.

Silver Ring (4 Hour) : We will recycle and melt down silver into an ingot and proceed to roll out wire for your bands.  You will go through various techniques such as sawing, soldering, filing, sanding, and polishing.  

Gold Ring (6 Hour) : Please let us know what 2 days (1 week apart) you are available.  The first day consists of making a model in silver or wax (depending on the design) and the second day you will come in to clean your casting.

We provide tools and you are responsible for the materials which will be the wholesale price of silver, gold, platinum or whatever material you choose.

Gold has always held a fascination for its beauty throughout history. 

But hey...

some of us have made some regrettable purchases in the past or have been passed down some really unattractive pieces :P

But fear not!

In this 1 day workshop we will show you how to melt down your regrets and turn them into beautiful gold bands :)

DISCLAIMER: Not all gold will recycle well especially vintage pieces that have been worked and re-worked on.  Since we do not know for sure how your pieces were produced, we can not guarantee 100% success.  If contaminants cause your piece to be unrecyclable, we will provide silver for you to proceed with the class and continue to learn the technique of recycling.

Rose Gold - 14k or higher

No White Gold!

Jewelry is usually stamped with the karat.  If you're not sure what type of gold you have please stop by the studio before hand and we will help you measure and test the karat of your gold.  We do not recommend recycling chains, if so you are doing it your own risk.

In this private workshop you will learn how to melt your gold and turn them into something special and one of a kind.  If you have a specific project in mind, please email us pictures or sketches for approval.

Class tuition is $500 per item.  It will take 4-6 hours to complete one piece.  If student exceeds the 6 hours limit, an hourly rate of $75/hour will be prorated.

An email confirmation will be sent once you purchase your private lesson.

DISCLAIMER: Not all gold will recycle well especially vintage pieces that have been worked and re-worked on.  Since we do not know for sure how your pieces were produced, we can not guarantee 100% success.  If contaminants cause your piece to be un-recyclable, you will have the following options:

1. We can switch to sterling silver which we carry in stock, and continue to learn the technique of recycling and fabrication of a ring.  You will have 3 hours of free bench time to return during supervised bench time to apply those same techniques on gold with the supervision of a bench tech.

2.  We can reschedule your workshop and have you come back with more gold.  We can help you send your un-recyclable gold to the refinery and get money to apply it to the purchase of new gold (you may need to purchase extra gold).  

3.  Get 50% refund (we ask you to understand that we value the time of our teachers and they need to get compensated for their time).

In this workshop, Michael Regan of Regan Jewelry and Little Kings Jewelry will demonstrate how to carve a skulls out of wax.  Students will be responsible for casting and cleaning on their own time. This is a 4 hour workshop for intermediate and advance students dedicated to focus on the techniques of carving specifically skulls.  You must have a sketch ready for class - you may also bring in a picture or a jewelry piece.
