Hand Made Chain & Findings Workshop
This two day workshop focuses on the methods used to make hand made chains and findings from silver wire. Students will have the opportunity to explore types of findings and make a jig to create multiple findings. Methods will be taught to create jump rings of one size to create a uniform chain that will be soldered and methods used to create irregular sized links to create an organic chain that is fused. The Instructor will work closely with the students to refine skills needed to create a necklace or bracelet.
A special showing of work by Steve Riley will coincide with his workshop and there will be an opening reception in the downstairs gallery on June 3rd 6 - 8pm.

I have the need to create. My art and Jewelry have the appearance of being dug up from the ground, something that looks like it has a history. I am particularly drawn to organic forms and I have a tendency to incorporate unorthodox materials.
